I have spent more than thirty five years working in and with charities - mostly in the hospice world. This started with three years at Princess Alice Hospice as Marketing Director, then thirteen at Hospice UK, leaving as Deputy CEO. I was then CEO of Shooting Star Children's Hospices for five years. During my time, both hospices received an Outstanding CQC rating.
Since setting up db associates in 2017, I have worked with more than fifty hospices across a wide range of issues and subjects. A selection of these can be seen below.
Today, hospices face the most difficult operating environment in the history of the sector. Rising deficits year on year, 30% wage inflation and falling returns from retail and fundraising. Inadequate and inconsistent government funding. But alongside these challenges, there are also opportunities. I can help you overcome the former and take advantage of the latter.
